Temporary Identification CredentialsTemporary Identification Credentials are available for design professionals who will require access to restricted areas within the Institution. Temporary Identification Credentials are limited to those design professionals that must conduct business, such as site surveys and regular project related meetings. They are not available to the entire design team. Your COTR will evaluate each request and determine if the level of effort for that individual warrants the request for Temporary Identification Credentials. Each individual requester must complete an Application for Identification Credentials, SI-4008 (for AEs) in which the following information is required:
The completed application must be sent to your COTR by your Project Manager for review and approval by the Associate Director of OEDC. Upon approval, the COTR will notify you that the application has been approved and is available for pick up at Suite 5200 in the Victor Building. Within 30 calendar days of the approval date, each individual applicant must pick up the approved application and appear in person at the Personnel Security Office in Suite 4036, Capital Gallery, 600 Maryland Avenue, SW, Washington, DC. There the applicant will be fingerprinted and a determination will be made on the appropriate required background check. After successfully completing this step the applicant will be directed to the ID Office where a photo identification badge will be issued. The Personnel Security Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. The telephone number is 633-5610. You should call the office to confirm the hours before you leave. |
