The Office of Facility Management and Reliability (OFMR) provides world class services through a dedicated, diverse, and professional workforce, committed to providing a safe environment for people and collections by preserving the integrity of our facilities.

Museum Support Services

Museum Support Services provide a wide range of services to the Smithsonian staff which include:

  • Audio Visual
  • Building Management Support of SISC and National Postal Museum
  • Mail Services
  • Motor Vehicle Maintenance
  • Transportation Services
  • Safety Coordination

They are also responsible for developing and monitoring safety programs for the OFMR employees.

Facilities Management

Each Smithsonian Facility has been divided into zones. This structure provides a core group of professionals that share resources and oversight to that facility.
